Ellen woke me up at seven the next morning in order to make sure we had what we needed for my party next weekend. Ellen wanted to have everything ready to go TODAY!
So, our schedual for today is to:
- Pick up the girls
- Eat at Denny's
- Design/Order cake(s)
- Go to Wal-mart
- Eat at Mexican Resturant
- Go by Community Center
- Pick up Dresses!!!

Ellen wanted to pick up the dresses last in order for them to not get wrinkled and what not. I was having my party at the local Community Center. My Aunt works there, so they were happy to host my party!
"Oh man, I can't wait to get those dresses! They are going to be so pretty!" Jenn said when she entered the car.
Ruby laughed. "Ellen said we are picking those up last."
"Aw, Ellen, why must you do this to me?"
"Sorry, Jenn, we have to eat first and do a bunch of other errands." Ellen apologized.
"Well, they better have good pancakes!"
After we ordered our food, Ellen started talking about the party.
"Okay, so do you have any idea about a date yet?" she asked.
"Oh, crap!" I said.
"Wait," Sara started. "You STILL haven't found a date?"
I took a drink of my orange juice and looked at Sara. "No, but I think I'm going to call Levi tonight and ask him."
"Now wait a minute!" Ellen said.
Uh-oh, I thought, Here we go.
"What happened to, 'The prophacies don't always have to be followed, do they?'" Ellen asked.
I rolled my eyes. "Don't rub it in." I told her. She smiled at me, and I returned it.
"So," Ruby said, "How'd that date go last night?"
I grinned. "I had fun! He said he was taking me to a beach, which he did, but he took me in the woods behind the beach. So, I must tell you, I was blindfolded, so I had NO idea where he was taking me."
The girls chuckled and told me to continue. "So, after walking for a few minutes, hand-in-hand, we stopped. I asked him if I could take off the blindfold, and he let go of my hand and took it off for me."
I stopped talking, because the waitress brought our food. We thanked her and she walked off.
"Okay, so what was in front of you?" Jenn asked after taking a bite of her pancake.
"A lake." I said. Their expressions didn't change. I smiled. "It wasn't just any ordinary lake. It was so clear you could see the fish and the bottom of the lake! There was a beautiful waterfall that fell a good fifty feet, with a river across the waterfall. The flowers all around the water's edge were in full bloom and I swear I could not set my eyes off of it! It was like a dream!"
"That sounds very beautiful, honey." Ellen said. The girls nodded in agreement. "So, what else happened? Did you kiss him?" Sara asked.
My fork of scrambled eggs stopped a couple centimeters from my mouth. "No." I said. "He tried, but I pulled away."
Their jaws dropped. "What? Why?" They asked.
"I don't know. I got nervous! I just met him two days ago!" I nearly yelled.
Jenn chuckled. "Yeah, I guess you don't want to feel like a slut, do you?"
Ruby hit Jenn on the arm. "OW! What was that for?" Ruby smiled. "For being mean!"
"Okay you two! Do I need to go all mom on you again?" Ellen asked.
Jenn and Ruby cupped their ears with their hands. Sara and I laughed and high-fived Ellen. "For the record," Sara said. "I wouldn't of kissed him either. And, you wouldn't seem like a slut." I smiled and hugged her.
After we ate, we headed over to the bakery two blocks down. We decided on a five-tier cake. It's going to be white with a bunch of colorful, chocolate flowers.
Then, we went to Wally-World to get plates and cups. We didn't need to get decorations or food and drinks because my lovely friends at the Community Center promised to do that for me!
We weren't quite hungry yet, so we went to the Community Center to see how all the decorations were coming.
"Oh my gosh, Grant!" I squealed. He laughed and pulled me into a hug. I've been best buds with Grant for ten years! Even though he is four years older than me, when we were younger, we were undepartable! I had a crush on him when I was thirteen, but it soon passed when I barged in on him and his girlfriend making out in my Aunt's office. Wasn't pretty!
"I guess you like it." Grant said.
I took a look around the room again. They had the tables all set up with purple table cloths, and they had the flower arrangements' vases in the center with candles setting in front of it. I know you must think we are stupid for putting candles right next to the flowers, but the vases are tall and the candles are those really cute, small ones, so we are good to go!
"It's perfect, Grant. I don't know how to thank you enough!" I gushed.
"It's no biggie!" He chuckled.
"You and Emily are coming, right? I want you two to come!" I said. Emily isn't the girl from my Aunt's office. That girl was Tawney. Or was it Tammy? I don't know, I forget.
No, Emily is a sweetheart! She is the nicest girlfriend Grant has ever had! She doesn't care Grant and I are friends, and Emily always smiles and waves at me when she sees me. Grant's other girlfriends always either rolled their eyes or glared at me. I think the main reason for all those girls are ex's is because they couldn't accept me in Grant's life. Not Emily! To tell you the truth, I wish Emily and Grant would get married. That's out of my hands, though!
"Of course! That's all Emily ever talks about lately! She's stoked for Saturday. She already got you a present, too." Grant said.
"You know I said no presents!" I complained. He shrugged. "Hey, that girl does what she wants. Do you really think EVERYONE is going to listen to you?" he asked. I rolled my eyes and smiled.
After we unloaded all the items we bought, we said bye to Grant and headed out to the car.
"Mexican food, here we come!" Ruby said, running out of the building. We all laughed and hopped in the car.
The resturant wasn't too buisy, so our food came fast. After we ate, we had thirty minutes to kill til we said we would pick up the dresses.
"Let's go to the park!" Jenn said. "We can go on the swings!" We shrugged our shoulders and said why not.
As soon as we got there, I had to use the potty. I told them to go ahead.
I walked up the street to the local Subway shop and used their restroom. When I got out, a strange boy was waiting for me.
"Hi." He said. I cocked an eyebrow. "Um, hi." I said. I walked past him and headed towards the door.
"The name's Chris. I'm a friend of Levi's." He said.
"Good for you." I replied, without looking at him. He continued to follow me.
"Rachel, can you hold up a sec?" I stopped, turned around, and put my hands on my hips. "What do you want? I have somewhere to be."
He took a deep breath. "Levi told me about how you dissed him yesturday." I didn't say anything, so he went on. "He told me he was done with you, and said I could take a shot."
My mouth hung open. He said he was done with me? I thought.
"I understand you have a sweet-sixteen party this saturday. I would love to be your date." I shook my head.
I'd rather go dateless than go with a stranger. Good-Bye."
I started to run. Tears were running down my face.
How could he say that?
Chris' POV
I watched her run off. I knew she was crying. I was hopping she would accept, but I had a strong feeling she wouldn't. At least she would be pissed at Levi. That's all I really wanted.
I let out a chuckle. "Don't worry, Rachel. We'll meet again."
Normal POV
Fortunately, I managed to stop crying by the time I got to the car. Ellen and the girls were waiting for me when I got there.
We arrived at the dress shop right on time, and we were all excited. We came in last week for the final fitting, so all we had to do was pick them up.
"Here you go, ladies." The lady at the front desk said.
"Thanks!" I said. We all got our seperate dresses and went back to the car.
While Ellen and I were taking the girls home, it gave me some time to think. I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do about Levi. I didn't know Levi had friends outside the boat. It was also weird how that kid knew where I was.
"So," Ellen said after the girls were gone. "Have fun today?"
I put on a fake smile. "Yeah, it was great." Ellen reached over and patted my knee. "Are you okay? Do you want to talk about it?" She asked.
I shook my head. "No, I'm fine. Let's just get home."
I hung my dress in my closet. I couldn't wait for saturday!
I went downstairs and made some popcorn for Gary, Ellen and I. Just as I was about to sit on the couch, the doorbell rang.
I opened the door. Joe and Levi stood in front of me.
"Hey boys. What brings you out here?" I asked.
Levi looked really mad. "We need to talk."
* This was the LONGEST chapter I've written! I'm exhausted!!! Lol. Anyway, the next chapter will be a little different. You remember how I wrote this story BEFORE Rachel was older, and she was a baby???? Well, it's going back to that! I'm sooo excited for how this story is going to end, but sadly, there will be a sad part later on. You guys might hate me for it! Anyway, peace out!!! Love you guys!!! ~Anna
