unexpected love ch.33 Final.

Weeks went by and Gage was still in the hospital. I visted him everyday even though he refused to see me. I was getting through Ash's death. His funeral was horrible. I sat with tracey the entire time. I couldn't talk to anyone. Layla was gone. She had to leave. School has been in for awhile but I just go through everyday without talking. My dad hasn't called. Personally I'm glad. I was having a really over whelming time. So I decided to take a walk. I left my house and walked down my street and around the block. I was gone for about an hour. I started walking back towards my house and when it came into view I saw someone sitting on my porch. I walked a little closer curious as to who it was. When I got closer I saw who it was and ran to him. I stopped in front of him and saw that he had been crying.
"I've been sitting here for 20 minutes debating weather or not to knock on your door." Gage whispered. I sat down next to him on the step.
"What did you come up with?" I asked.
"I was gonna knock. But then I saw you running so I thought I'd wait on you." He whispered.
"Gage, look I'm sorry." I said looking at him.
"I know you are." His voice was getting no higher than a whisper. "I also know that you love me. And that I love you." He looked at me.
"But, I still love Ash." I said my voice low.

"I know. But I can't just let you out of my life. It's been so hard without you. I mean that night I saw you at the party." He stopped.
"It's okay." I said laying a hand on his back. "I know how you feel."
"I don't know what it is, but I can't live without you. I mean I've become so dependent on you that without you nothing works." He was still looking at me.
"Can I ask you something?" I asked.
"Anything."
"What happened that night?" I asked. He looked down.
"Well, I went to that party with a few of my friends. We were havin a great time. Then I saw you and I got so mad at myself. I started drinking, And drinking, and drinking. After you left with Ash I got even angrier. I started drinking more. Before I knew it I was past drunk. then I remember Ash coming back with Jason and George. They were all drunk too. I tried to find my friends but they were all ready gone. Ash told me that something was wrong with you I got worried. He told me he'd take me to you. So I got in the car with him and George and Jason. I was in the backseat. I put on my seatbelt. Like always. And Ash started driving really fast. I told him to stop. Then he turned to me and told me that he wasn't going to compete with me anymore. It was a stupid plan I know. I guess he didn't think he'd kill himself and his buddies. But he wrecked into a tree. They all flew forward. But thanks to my seatbelt I was saved. I kinda blacked out then." He said the entire thing slowly.
"Wow. So it was all Ash. That Douche." Gage laughed.
"He really was." A silence fell over us. I felt his arm go around me.
"All I want Maddie, Is to be friends. I don't want a relationship. Just Friends." He said I smiled.
"Just friends?"
"Just friends."
