I was sitting in class on monday. Bored when someone tried to catch my attention.
"Yeah?" I asked looking at the small girl beside me.
"Are you Kim?" She asked curious.
"Yes."
"Wow. I'm Kristy. I'm new here. I heard people talking about you all day." She said I smiled.
"Yeah." The bell rang telling us to go to lunch. "Well do you want to eat lunch with us?" I asked.
"Sure." She said smiling.
We ate lunch and talked. She got along great with Macy and Forrest. We had a lot in commen. She was very nice and I learned alot about her during lunch. She ended up eating with us everyday that week and coming over to my house that Friday with Macy. She was so entertaining and fun to be around. I loved it. we hung out all the time. She was just as good a friend to me as Macy was.
"So Kim, What's up?" said kristy.
"Nothing really."
"Do you and Forrest want to go to the movies this weekend? That new movies out." I smiled.
"Yeah. We'd love too." Me and Forrest were already going to go to the movies, he wouldn't mind if she came along.
"Good."
When friday came I was ready to go to the movies. I had a busy week full of tests and homework. I put on my favorite outfit and made my hair nice and curly the way Forrest liked it. I smiled as I looked at myself one last time in the mirror. I ran downstairs when I heard the door bell ring. This didn't really count as a date since someone else was with us. In fact in the time we had been dating we had only gone out twice.. That first date, and the time he told me he loved me. But I still loved it. We barely kissed because to me a kiss was special, every kiss was worth everything to me. We weren't like those couples who ran around saying I love you and making out all the time. We only did that when the moment was right. I liked that, It made every little thing we did special. I opened the door and saw him standing there smiling. He hugged me hard and long. I hugged him back breathing in his scent, the husky scent of his soap and cologne. I loved it. He let go of me. I smiled.
"Kristy is going to meet us at the movie." I reminded him he took my hand and led me to his car.
"Okay." He said opening the door for me. It was little things like that that let me know how much he cared. I smiled as he shut my door and ran to his side. He jumped in and pulled out of the driveway.
"Kimberlyn, I was thinking that since we've been going out for almost a month now that it's time we took it up a step." My heart beat sped up he couldn't be talking about sex could he?
"W-wh-what d-do you m-mean?"The words stumbled out of my mouth. He smiled.
"I mean that I think it's time we have a formal dinner with both of our families. Introduce each other as boyfriend and girlfriend rather than neighbors. I know that both of our familiees already know each other but I think it's something that needs to be done." I let out a sigh of relief. "I know it's corny and old fashioned but I think that it's really kind of needed if we are going to keep this relationship going." I smiled as he finished his sentence.
"Baby, I love it. I love the idea. I love it all. I think it's a great idea, really I do." He looked at me and smiled. "But I think that if you want to live to see that day, that you should probably watch the road." He laughed and watched the road as we pulled up to the movie theater. I got out of the car and began walking towards the door.
"Babe." I heard him yell behind me. I stopped and turned around as He ran towards me. He wrapped his arms around me and lifted me up in the air. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him as he let me down. "I love you." He whispered in my ear. I hugged him tight.
"I love you too." I felt him kiss the top of my head. I let out of the hug and began walking towards the door again. I felt him grab my hand and interlock our fingers. I smiled and keep walking.
"Hey Kim." I heard Kristy yell.
"Hey." I said letting go of Forrest and giving her a hug.
"I already bought the tickets. They were selling out quick so I grabbed them." I got out my wallet.
"Let me pay you back." I insisted.
"No way. It's all good. Just buy the snacks." I smiled.
"Deal." I laughed as I looked back at Forrest and grabbed his hand. He smiled at me and opened the door as I walked into the theater. Forrest bought the snacks for everyone, I laughed at a joke as we went into the movie and sat down. Forrest sat next to me with Kristy on the other side of me. I held Forrest hand threw most of the movie.
"Babe." I whispered to him. He turned to me.
"Yeah?"
"I have to pee." I whispered.
"Hurry back." He said As I stood up from our top row seats and ran to the bathroom. I had a funny feeling in the pit of my stomach the intire time I was gone, I tried to hurry but the line in the bathroom was extremely slow. It took 10 minutes before I was back in my seat.
"What did I miss?" I asked Forrest as I sat down he looked at me. His face was sad and he looked like something was bothering him.
"Nothing really." His voice was low, and disterbing.
"What's wrong?" I asked concerned.
"I'll tell you in the car." I took his hand and he squeezed it hard. I kissed his cheek and payed attention to the rest of the movie that was playing that I hadn't really been watching in the first place. What was wrong with him? What was going on? Did something happen while I was gone?
