BOTH (continued)

 Renee pointed and Kali saw it. It was a young man of about 19; he had shaggy longish dirty blonde hair. He looked kind of dead but still had his normal color, he was half naked, and laying on the floor. Kali covered Renee’s eyes, and carried her out of the room.

“H-H-Hyden! Ser-Serena! Come Quick!” Kali shouted trying to hide the fear in her voice. Hyden ran into the living room, followed by Serena.

“What is it dear?” Serena asked. Kali just pointed towards the other room. “Hyden stay here with Renee, and Kali” Serena walked into the room and let out a tiny scream and backed out of the room. “Who discovered him?” Serena asked briskly.

“R-R-R-Renee did” Kali stuttered. Renee was crying at that time as Kali held her. Kali sat down on the couch and stood Renee up. “Are you ok Renee?” Kali asked. The poor little girl nodded. Knowing that she was not, Kali gave her one last hug. Serena was shaking as she placed a hand on Kali’s shoulder.

“So you know, this was not your fault, I’m sorry you had to see that. That was a horrible thing for you to have experienced. Same with Renee.” Serena apologized. Hyden looked at Kali who was paler then normal. She was shaking as well. As for Renee, she was still holding on tight to Kali. “Hyden, stay here with the girls, while I go finish up, ok?” Serena said.

“Okay will do Auntie.” As Serena left, Hyden watched her leave. “Come on Renee, let’s go get you cleaned up” Renee didn’t even move, she kept on holding onto Kali.

“Want me to take you?”  Kali asked smoothing out Renee’s hair. She nodded. “Hyden show me the way, please?” Hyden took Kali’s free hand, which felt tender and really warm in hers, and led Kali the way.

They went down the hall and to the right on the second door. Kali set Renee down on the sink counter. Hyden sat on the toilet (the lid was down).

“Who do you think that was?” Kali asked Hyden. Who just shook his head. “I mean he had to be about 19 or 20. So young.” Kali found a washcloth and rinsed it in cold water, then wiped Renee’s face with it, who, still hadn’t said a word. “Renee, come sweetie, you have to say something. Do you want to know a secret?” The little girl nodded. “I was scared too, but I had to take you out of there.” That surprised Renee.

“Really? You got scared?” Renee said barley audible. Kali smiled her wonderful smile, and nodded

“Yeah I got scared.” Hyden could tell that Kali was falling in love with Renee. Not that OMG I love you love, but the sibling love. The same way that Hyden loved Renee.

“Wow Kali Everheart, the one who beat up Andy Cruz was scared.” Hyden said with a grin. That made Kali smile and cover Renee’s eyes and flipped him off. Hyden laughed at that. Renee looked baffled, and just shrugged.

“So are you going to go back out there?” Kali asked Renee.

“If you go with me,” Renee said in a cute way. Kali laughed and helped Renee off the sink counter.

“I think Renee just found her new best friend” Hyden teased. Kali stuck her tongue out at Hyden.

“Oh so mature of you!” Hyden laughed.
