When I woke up, I completely freaked out and ran from Hyden’s place. I ran down his street, and turned right, then into an alley. I knew were I was because I always use to roam the allies when I was little. I ran and ran until I couldn’t, because my thighs were cut and hurt. Well at least I wont have to cut this time. I thought bitterly wincing at my cuts re-opening. When i got home, I snuck through my window. When I climbed in, I didn’t even see my uncle’s truck. I got into my PJ’s and went to bed. I looked at my alarm clock that said it was 9:30. I’d had to get up early to do my homework, if I could even get up in the morning. Before I knew it, it was all black.

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP. My alarm clock rang for me to get up. I shut it off before my uncle could wake up. That is if he was here. I went to my bathroom, and looked in the mirror, looking at the bruise that my uncle left me. My stomach was also bruised. I took off my shirt, and looked at my back, it was all scratched up! And so was the back of my thighs. All I had to worry about was my eye now…maybe I could say that I ran into a door, knowing me, anyone would believe that lame excuse. I was thankful that I didn’t have GYM anymore! I stripped off the rest of my cloths, turned on the hot water, and got in. The hot water felt so good against my skin. I did all what I had to do, then got out. I wrapped in my towel, and went to my room.

I didn’t see him sitting in my chair. I heard rustling in the back of me. I turned and saw Steve.

“So how late did you get home last night?” Steve said darkly. That scared me, he never was this dark before.

“9. But don’t worry about, because I didn’t want to disturb your friends.”

“I know. I’m the one who told your uncle that you weren’t with me.” That pissed me off. How could Steve betray me to my uncle? He knew what my uncle would do to me. I ran over to him, and I hit him hard in the face.

“What in fucking hell were you thinking?! YOU KNEW WHAT HE WOULD DO TO ME!” I screamed. Steve covered his nose as it bleed all over his hand. He went to my bathroom and looked into the mirror.

“Damn you Kali…I told him because I felt like you were pissed at me just leaving me like you did. I was concerned”

“SO YOU FUCKING TELL MY ABUSIVE UNCLE WHO CAN KILL ME IF HE WANTED TO!” I screamed again.

“LISTEN YOU FUCKING WHORE, I DID IT FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!”

“SO WHAT? YESTERDAY I WAS YOUR ‘BABE’ AND NOW TODAY I’M A FUCKING WHORE? AND DID WHAT FOR MY OWN GOOD? RAT ME OUT TO MY UNCLE? BASTARD!” I ran over to where he was standing and punched him in the gut, he bent over as I did so, then I kneed him in the balls.

“GET OUT OF THIS FUCKING HOUSE!” I screamed at Steve pushing him towards my window, were I knew that’s were he came thru.

“Kali, no I didn’t tell him where you were, I just told him you weren’t with me, that Cruz guy told him everything!” Steve said. I didn’t care what he had to say, until “Please I still, and always will love you” That stopped my heartbeat. I knew I was stupid to believe him. But I shook my head.
