The Lost and Found Child
|
The young mother’s auburn eyes
Search for her greatest loss
She starts to think about what could have become of him
She wonders if she’ll ever come across
Her baby again, but not unless
Someone took him, or worse, he, Oh God no, died
She hopes and prays that he’s OK
She tired her hardest to stifle a cry
Restring herself from panicking is hard for her to do
This was by far her biggest mistake.
She was just so sorry, she will never forgive herself
Her heart quickly begins to break
She then heard a small child randomly going on about his new toy
But it isn’t him, no it couldn’t be, he couldn’t even talk!!
Unless it’s really been longer,
No it’s not him, hell he wasn’t even old enough to walk!
He’s been missing already for twenty-six weeks,
No that can’t be right
She thought, when he went missing, he was 3 months
“God, I should have put up a fight”
She said sadly while shaking her head.
The next day, she when back to the park to see
If she could find him,
And there he was still as little as he could be
She knew it was him,
Sitting there on the ground crying
She ran to him as fast as her legs would let her
She held him gently as if he was dying,
At last mother and son were together once more!
A short story/poem thing that I wrote last year as an Epic sort of poem!!
