After I got back my room was pretty much full.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY KALI!” I must have looked dumbfounded, because my mom came up to me and shook me a bit. I looked at her and slapped her.

“Get the fuck out of here mom.” I said. I know realized how much I hated her. “GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE YOU BITCH!” I screamed. I started hitting her and calling her every name I could. The nurse came in and jerked her away. Renee came up and sat on my lap.

“Hey Kali, I love you, I hope Hayden decides you’re the one.”

A few weeks after that I was discharged from the hospital and I was able to go home with my dad.

I was no longer the girl with a broken family. I was now the girl that would kick your fucking ass if you messed with me.

Andy was charged with rape and attempted murder and got 10 years. Steve was charged with attempted murder and assault on an officer he got 15 years, and my “uncle” was charged with rape, child abuse, assault, and many other things. My uncle got 25 years mainly for the damage that he’d done to me.

As for my mom, she left the country to Mexico.

I got brave enough to report Mr. Myrtle. He was charged with attempted rape, and all the guys who tried or did rape me registered as sex offenders.

So in the end, it worked out nicely.
