Laying in bed that night, I kept replaying what I had said to Jon before he had left that night. Why did I have to go that far? It must have been completely obvious that I had something to do with it. I really hope Joni believed me when I told her I had nothing to do with his car. Although, I seriously felt like he had it coming. I mean seriously, who wouldn’t have said that to him, right? My thoughts were overcoming me, I couldn’t stop thinking about everything. Why is it before I go to bed, this all comes to me? Why cant I think up what I should have done before I actually did it? I just cant sleep now, I need something to do. Then it came to me. So, this is probably another, “Think first” type of ideas, but Ill kick my ass for it later. I know I have already don’t so much to Jon for what he had done to me, but in a way, I guess I felt like it wasn’t enough.

I got out of bed and went to my dresser drawer and pulled out his cell phone. I began to read the latest texts. Mostly from Paige and her whining about not knowing what to do about her “pregnancy.” I honestly don’t think she is pregnant, but time can only tell. And, if I’m wrong, ill admit that to myself later because I am the only one who thinks this. I like keeping most things to myself apparently. As I began to scroll down the texts, I saw a bunch of texts from Riley. I started to read them and my mouth just dropped. I couldn’t believe what I was reading. I began to tear up and just dropped to my knees and started bawling. Tears were streaming down my face dripping onto my arms and knees. I never had sex with him though, there is no way I can get this. I didn’t have sex with him! I didn’t have sex with him, I kept telling myself.

“YOU FUCKING BASTARD!” I screamed and bawled at the same time. I ran over to my bed and screamed in the pillow. “NOT ME! YOUR NOT GOING TO DO THIS TO ME!!!! YOU SON OF A BITCH, I HATE YOU!” I bawled. I was clinching onto the cell phone. I pulled my face out of my pillow and tear stains had already left their marks. I looked at the cell phone again, and read:

Riley: To whoever has this phone now, Jon’s secret is out! I want you to use this to your benefit.

Riley: Jon has herpes and has been spreading it around to all the girls he has sle..

Riley: pt with and he hasn’t told anyone. Even if you haven’t slept with him, Get checked!

Okay, I don’t want to freak out anymore. Everyone who knows Jon, knows he has a new phone and new number. The obvious answer, was it was stolen or lost- phones don’t just disappear out of car. If Jon had any idea that it was stolen, he definitely wouldn’t want any of this kind of information to get out. On the other hand, if he thinks it was stolen and since it was, he would think an ex- girlfriend had stolen it. Him and Riley obviously still talk since she has his new number. Maybe, he told her to write that and whoever started the rumor about Jon would be exposed. The only person knowing the rumor other than me would be Riley. So maybe this is a trick to find out who stole his phone.

 

I’m not going to mention to anyone I have his phone. Only Joselyn and I know and I’m sure this is one of Jon’s master plans. I know I am way to smart for this so I am not going to fall for it. I will go down to Planned Parenthood tomorrow and get checked for std’s. I will keep this all to myself and if anyone else brings it up then I don’t have to worry about anyone knowing I have his phone. On the other hand, if I find out, I have what he has- he just won!

 

I hurried upstairs to grab my cell phone, I forgot I left it in the kitchen. I had 5 missed calls from Joselyn and 10 text messages! What the hell is so important?! I read all the texts before I called Joselyn back.

Joselyn: How far did you go with Jon?

Joselyn: MCKENZIE! Answer me! How far did you go with Jon?

Joselyn: We need to talk ASAP! Call me!

Joselyn: Kenzie, what are you doing?! WHERE ARE YOU?!

Joselyn: Oh screw it, I’m sneaking out and coming over!

Joselyn: If I get in trouble- your to blame! Call Me!

Joselyn: Ugh- Your making me feel like a stalker boyfriend.

Joselyn: BAD JOKE Sorry!

Ryan: Hey whats up 2nite? Party central over here! 2 kegs- u better show!

Trent: CALL ME ASAP! This is serious. P.S.- Don’t go to Ryan’s/ Jon is there/ and btw Ryan is sooo wasted. Lol

 

 

I started laughing reading through all the texts. I know Joselyn cares about me and really I should be a little scared with what she has to say, but then again, she can make any situation funny. I’m glad Trent texted and warned me about going over to Ryan’s. Not that I would have gone anyways, but it was just the thought that really counted.

New Text.

 

Joselyn: I’m stuck in your window- let me in!

I ran downstairs to my room as fast as I could. Joselyn is super tiny but she is really bad about sneaking in windows for some reason.

 

“Where have you been?! I have been trying to get a hold of you all night! Seriously, Kenzie…” Joselyn started ranting but I cut her off.

“Did you get a text saying something about Jon?” I asked her.

“You got it too then?” She asked.

“Yeah, but what I wonder is why it wasn’t sent to my cell phone. I found it on Jon’s phone from Riley.” I said

“Yeah, Riley sent it to my phone too. Why wouldn’t she send it to you?” Joselyn asked suspiciously.

“Wait, I just got a text on my phone from Riley. it’s the same one from Jon’s phone.” I said.

“I wonder how many people she sent this too.” Joselyn asked.

“Trent texted me saying we needed to talk.” I said

“Yeah- Ryan is pretty out of it too apparently. He took something tonight but Trent doesn’t know what. I’m sure he will go over and check on him soon.” Joselyn sounded worried.

“That’s good, we should call Trent and see what he needed.” I said

We called Trent and talked to him for a little while. He was on his way to Ryan’s to see what was going on. He said Ryan had taken some sort of pill and Jon was providing it at the party. He also told us Jon would probably be going to jail for awhile. He didn’t want to tell us over the phone, but I’m sure it has to deal with distributing drugs of some sort. I wouldn’t be surprised if he went to jail for something like that. In the meantime, I just didn’t want to be anywhere near him. Trent said he would meet Joselyn and I at the park by 2am. That was great except Joselyn had to leave now so she wouldn’t get caught sneaking back in. Her parents normally wake up around 2am to check and see if her sister is home. It was 1:30 am now, if she wanted to make it in plenty of time before her parents woke up, she would need to leave now. I told Trent I would meet him at the park and we could talk about everything. There is no point in waiting until tomorrow to talk about everything if I could relieve my mind tonight.
