The Unexpected

(Part 6)

Recap:

“Where’s the bike?” you asked him impatiently

“Basement.” He said smiling

“Roxy? You’re doing the right thing, you worked hard for this and so did they.” He said and you smiled and grinned as you stood in front of your bike and took out your cell phone and dialed the number.

“Hello?” the voice said

“Hey, I have a ticket for you to come to New York; we have some riding to do.” You said grinning.

“Whooohooo!!! Awesome baby!!! I’ll be there.” They said.

“Perfect.” You said as you closed the cell phone and smiled.

You were at the airport holding a sign that said ‘Chris’ and you pulled it up as people were coming out and you were looking for Chris but after the crowd seemed to fade away, you turned around and felt someone grab your waist and spin you around but you knew it was Chris the minute you saw dirty blonde hair.

“Hello, nice to see you too” you said smiling as he put you down.

“Hello” he said grinning and you just chuckled and helped him with his luggage as you made your way out of the airport.

“Ahh…I see you got your car back” he says smiling.

“Yup” you said grinning and got in the drivers seat and he got on the passenger’s seat and you guys talked about a variety of things on your way home.

“So are you ready? Its been a year.” He says seriously as you turned off the car and just sat there.

“I think so,” you said “how are they?”

“Same condition until we get them what they need” he says turning away.

You simply got up and helped him with his luggage and put it in the guestroom and then led him to the bike with the occasional ‘it’s a mansion’ and ‘you’re lucky’ compliments coming from Chris and you just smiled because he looked like a little kid in Disneyland.

“It looks the same” he says looking at your bike and going around it.

“Should be, I haven’t used it since then” you said crossing your arms and leaning against the wall.

“Okay I’ll do some adjustments and then we can take it out this afternoon” he said just looking at the bike.

“Alright then. I’ll go put your stuff away while you do that.” You say walking out and letting him do what he had to do.

(A Couple of Hours Later)

You were watching television when you saw Chris sit down next to you.

“Its done.” he said

“Thanks but what about your bike?” you asked him as you turned off the television.

“I’m going to pick it up right now along with my car. But first, what made you want to ride again?” he asked curiously

“This girl Ashley said something about my parents and how I was a good for nothing mistake and a newbie but I’m going to prove her wrong.” You said as you remembered what she said and got mad and once you tilted your head you saw that Chris was also extremely mad.
