                        Chapter eight:

                Cassie’s brief moment

See at all the parties she had seen in movies most of the teen would have been upstairs as well, but because Hayden’s downstairs was so big they were all down stairs. Cassie’s favorite song "Already Gone: By Kelly Clarkson" Came on as she began to walk down the stairs. Whenever she would hear that song she would feel some type of way, a way that made her feel as though she could do anything. Half way down the stairs she could feel eyes on her. She looked around the room and smiled. Her stomach began to twist and turn as her eyes connected with Justin’s. Justin had looked at her the way that she had always wanted him too.

By the time Cassie had reached the bottom of the stairs she could feel girl staring her down, but she just ignored it. She made her way thru the crowd of boys and girls as she walked over to where Justin was standing. She smiled before saying "Hey Justin" She fiddled with her hands behind her back because she was nervous. Justin didn’t say anything at first all he did was gazed at her and smile. Cassie leaned in before saying "Hey Justin" Once again, but this time he answered.

Justin smiled before saying "Cassie, you look great"

Cassie smiled and bit her bottom lip just before replying "You don’t look so bad yourself." Justin smiled then leaned in and kissed her on the cheek. While his lips were pressed against her cheek Cassie blushed. By the time he back up again the red specks that were on her cheek had faded away. Cassie grabbed Justin’s hand and walked with him thru the crowd and they made their way up the stairs. Just in the nick of time the front door opened just as Justin turned around. As Cassie walked up the stairs Justin stopped walking making her turn around. Cassie followed the direction that his eyes were in to get a glimpse of what he was staring at.

There she was a flawless beauty. Justin’s dream girl she was sexy, she looked like a sweetheart, down to earth, and she also looked like she had a sense of humor. From the look of how her hair was pinned up Cassie could tell that she was smart. There they were all Justin’s dream girl characteristics wrapped up into one perfect creation. She had dark brown hair that was pinned up into an up due.

She was Caucasian, but she looked like she was from out of town. She had nice curbs that filled in every crevice of the black dress that she was wearing .She walked into the room just as the song on the radio changed to "He said she said : By Ashley Tisdale" Justin let go of Cassie’s hand and headed back down the stairs. Cassie’s heart began to pound outside of her chest. She didn’t anticipate that that would happen. She walked back down the stairs and looked at the girl who was making her way thru the crowd with and suitcase in her hand.

Cassie thought to herself before saying "Samantha". Samantha made her way to the crowd until she came across Hayden. Cassie plastered on a fake smile before walking over to where the two were standing.

"Oh my God, you’re here" Hayden yelled in an excited tone as she wrapped her arms around her.

"I’m here"

Samantha replied in an Australian accent as she wrapped her arms around Hayden.

Once they let go of one another Cassie introduced herself "Hi, I’m Cassie, you must be Samantha?" Cassie asked with an artificial smile.

"Yes, I’m Samantha." Samantha replied with a smile.

"I’ve heard so much about you." Cassie replied as just came and walked over to where the three were standing.

"Good things I hope"

she said before she giggled slightly.

Justin stood beside Cassie and looked at Samantha and smiled. Samantha blushed it was so weird because no normal girl would let a boy see them blush.

"Hi, I’m Justin, Cassie’s friend." He said with a smile and a friendly tone.

"Wow, you’re cute Justin, I’m Samantha."

She said with a smile.

Cassie thought to herself "No girl from around there or even their school would have put that out so bluntly; not even Delilah." Just as Cassie thought of Delilah the door opened and there she and the rest of her clique were. Cassie looked at Hayden who had just walked away and then she looked at Justin before saying "Alright, come on Justin." But as she looked at Justin he was staring at Samantha who was looking at him smiling. It was making Cassie sick because she had known Justin for Ten years and it took him ten years to look at her like that, but as soon as Samantha walks in she gets that "I want you" look from him.

"So Justin what do you normally do at these parties?" Samantha asked.

Justin smiled before saying "Come on I’ll show you." The thought about him telling Cassie that they should try out a relationship for a while had faded away. Justin turned to Cassie before saying "Cassie, I’m going to catch up with you later, okay."

Cassie plastered on a fake smile before replying "Okay"

Justin gently grabbed Samantha’s and led her thru the crowd before beginning to introduce her to the rest of the student body. Cassie didn’t know how to react there was nothing that she could do. She closed her eyes for a brief moment and scream inside of her head before going into the middle of the dance floor and beginning to dance, but she didn’t take eyes off of Justin and Samantha for a second, until a group of boys started crowding around and blocking her sight. After a while Cassie just got used to all of the attention so she just danced and had fun, but not once was Justin off of her mind.

Three hours later…

Everywhere she would go to be alone at least two guys followed behind her. Cassie made her way into the kitchen and walked over to the stool that she had been sitting on earlier and wiped the popcorn onto the floor and sat down. One of the guys who were standing next to her yelled "Do you want a drink?" Cassie looked at him and artificially smiled before saying "No thank you." Cassie turned her head and faced the other guy who was actually kind of hot. "Hi" She said as she moved one of the curls out of her face.

"Hey" he replied with a smile

"I’m Cassie"

"What’s up Cassie, I’m Jacob"

"It’s nice to meet you Jacob" She said with a smile.

"It’s nice to meet you too" Jacob responded before taking a sip of his beer and asking an unexpected question "Can we go have sex now?" with a sneaky grin.

The smile that was plastered on Cassie’s face faded away as she spoke the words "Get lost." Cassie stood up off the stool and walked over to the kitchen sink and looked at the reflection of her self that was inside of the dish water. She had already felt bad, but this couldn’t possibly get worst. "Its only two day" Cassie said to herself as she looked at her brand new self. "Samantha will only be here for two day."

She said to herself once again before splashing her hands over the water that was inside of the sink before walking back into the living room where the real party was. She walked over to the sofa and sat down she wasn’t even in the mood to dance anymore. When she had gotten to the sofa before she could even think two different guys rushed over and sat next to her on each side.

Cassie didn’t really feel like being bothered, but she still said something.

"Hey"

"Hey" One of the boys responded with a smile.

The other one just nodded so she knew that was his way of saying hi. Cassie didn’t really know what to say so she just said something that she would have never thought she would say. "Do you want to make out?" The guy who nodded before opened his mouth before had opened his mouth to respond this time "Sure" Cassie shook her head before standing up and saying "Yeah right" She walked out of the living room and made her way up the stairs.

Delilah was sitting on a chair over by the fire place with Scott. When she saw Cassie walking up the stairs she decided to go bother her. Cassie walked inside of Hayden’s room and slammed the door. Delilah looked over at Hayden who was sitting down on another chair surround by a group of girl gossiping before heading up stairs. Once up stairs she went into the first bedroom that she saw which was Hayden’s. Cassie turned around quickly to see who it was. Cassie was already pissed off so there was no reason for Delilah to be around and make things worst.

Delilah plastered on a sneaky smirk before saying the word "I have a proposition for you." And slammed the door shut.
