                            Chapter eleven

                One choice can change everything

When Cassie made her way to the front stairs case where Delilah and the rest of her clique was she smiled and walked past them like they were no competition, which made Delilah mad. Once inside of the building Cassie made her way up the three flights of stairs as usual. She walked to her locker, put in the combination and grabbed her book bag, put her Ipod into the locker and headed down the hall to her first class. This time when she walked inside she didn’t say anything to the teacher she just walked to her desk and sat down.

The bell rang three minutes after Cassie entered the class. She had forgotten to do the homework. So Cassie just sat there. In walks someone who was totally unexpected and totally unwanted by cassie, Samantha. Samantha walked into the room and handed Mr. Gills a sheet of paper which made it known that she was in his class. Mr. Gills looked at the paper before saying "stand right here, I want you to introduce yourself to the class.

"I’m Samantha Greve" Samantha said with a smile that lit up the whole room.

Once everyone was in their assigned seats Mr. Gills told Samantha to introduce herself to the class and a couple of things she like to do.

Samantha stood there for a moment gathering thoughts before beginning to speak.

"Hi, I’m Samantha. I’m eighteen years old and I’m from Sydney Australia. Like most teen I pretty much do everything that all teens do: Shop, party, hang out with friend and have sex."

Samantha said with a smile and her accent captivated all of her classmates

Their class mates started to laugh, but Cassie looked at her in disbelief. Cassie couldn’t believe that she had just said what she said like there was nothing wrong. "Alright Miss Greve you can have a seat in the back next to, Miss Gore. Miss Gore, please raise your hand so Samantha knows where to go. Cassie raised her hand with a smile that she had plastered on her face just for the occasion.

"Hi, Cassie"

Samantha said as she made her way to the back of the room.

"Hi" Cassie responded

"I guess we’re going to be seeing a lot of each other for the rest of the school year."

"I guess we are" Cassie said with an artificial smile. Then Cassie opened her book bag and pulled out her notebook.

Samantha pulled out a notebook ad well and placed it on top of the desk. "Okay, today you will have to write a one page essay on where you see yourself in five years. Then you’re going to have to peer edit the assignment, which means that you have a half in hour to write then you pass it to the person next to you so they can edit it. You may begin."

Cassie opened her note book to a blank page and began to write. Already she had to do something with Samantha and she didn’t even like her. Cassie didn’t really know what she would be doing in five years. So she just wrote an essay on not know what she would be doing five years from the precise moment that she was in. Thirty minutes past quickly and it was time for the class to begin peer editing their essay.

Cassie handed Samantha her essay and Samantha handed hers, but Samantha’s wasn’t one page there were three. How was it that Samantha was able to right a three page essay in only thirty minutes? Samantha’s penmanship was perfect, there was nothing out of line or misspelled from the little piece that Cassie had read. Cassie didn’t want to read the entire essay, so she didn’t. From the corner of her eye she could see Samantha marking something on her paper in red ink. "Also class, you will hand this assignment up at the end of class." Mr. Gills added. Cassie couldn’t believe that Samantha marked her paper in red ink. Cassie sat back and leaned against the wall.

Samantha looked at Cassie and smiled before saying "Don’t worry Cassie I’m just correcting your mistakes. My mother is an English teacher, so I’m pretty good when it come to reading and writing." Samantha finished revising Cassie’s Essay just as the bell rang. Samantha handed Cassie her essay and Cassie handed her back hers. Cassie packed her book back into her book bag and headed to the front of the class. She handed Mr. Gills her assignment and headed out of the room.

The rest of the classes seem to past pretty quickly, next thing Cassie knew it was time for lunch and she had a decision to make that no one could make for her. Cassie walked down the hall slowly savoring the moments until she made it to the cafeteria. Word had gotten around school that Cassie was hot. So when she walked into the lunch room most eyes were on her, including Scott’s who was beginning to drool. Every guy except Justin’s who eyes were on Samantha. Delilah elbowed Scott in the stomach capturing his attention.

When Cassie looked around she could feel the guy’s eyes on her, so she decide that she didn’t even want to eat lunch, because maybe all of the guys would let her skip in front of them just to get a glimpse of her ass. Thirty seconds past and everything went back to normal. Cassie walked around in the lunch room until she saw an empty able and then she sat down, but before she could get comfortable a crowd of guys ran over to the table and sat next to her. She was enjoying the attention, but she wasn’t really used to it. Cassie looked around the room for Justin and found him sitting at the table with his teammates.

He wasn’t just with his teammates, but with Hayden and Samantha as well. Cassie said to herself "He never invited me to eat at his lunch table." She looked around the lunch table where she was sitting and all of the guys looked unfamiliar. Then she quickly looked at Delilah’s table and everything looked in order. Then she looked at Justin’s lunch table once again. Delilah was right. Samantha would steal Justin and Cassie would be all alone. Cassie plastered on a fake smile and stood up.

Cassie stood there for a moment taking it what she was about to do. Cassie knew that playing with Delilah; which was fire would ultimately get her burned. Delilah already knew what was about to happen. Cassie grabbed her book bag and quickly walked over to Delilah’s table and looked at her. "I’ll do it" The three words that Cassie promised herself she would never say to Deliah had been spoken.
