Baby times two -6-

So there we stood, I in my black suit with a white undershirt, and a tie. And Julia big and pregnant, in her pink dress. She wanted to wear a white dress but of course thats only for virgins. And that we were not. She looked up at me and smiled "I do!" The man turned to me and asked the same thing he asked Julia. I paused not able to move my lips.. while everyone watched wondering why i hadn't yet said i do..

Weeks earlier-

 I was walking down the street to the appartment complex Maddie was staying at. The sun was shining today for sure, i was sweating alot. I put a hand in front of my face to block the sun. In the distance i saw the figure of a woman, laying on the ground. I looked harder and could see blonde hair.. "Maddie?" I muttered under my breath. It was Maddie....... I began running as fast as I could calling out her name as I ran. "Maddie? Maddie?"

 When I got close enough I collasped on the ground and leaned over to her, what I saw disturbed me. Her chest and abdomen had several stab marks and blood was coming out quick. I quickly took off my shirt and put pressure on the wound. Tears were coming out my eyes, "Maddie can you hear me? Maddie?" I cried out and she let out a mumbled yes. "Don't die Maddie, don't let our baby die!"

 I hurried and took out my cell phone my fingers were shakey but I managed to dial 911. "Hello? Please send an ambulance! Why? A PREGNANT TEENAGER IS LAYING ON THE GROUND STABBED THATS WHY GET THE FUCK OVER NOW!" I screamed, it wasn't the mans fault but I just need an ambulance right away. I sat there aiding Maddie as she laid semi concious waiting for them to come. When they did they quickly strapped her to the board and put her in the ambulance.

 "Can I come?" I asked worried beyond anything.

"Are you related?" The paramedic asked.

"No?" I replied.

"Then no!" The paramedic turned away.

"Please! She is pregnant with my baby!" I cried.

He looked at me then said "Fine get in quick." SO i did and we drove to the hospital.

The ride there seemed to take forever and all I could do was cry. Never till now did I actually realize that I loved Maddie. Sure I love Julia but Maddie had this thing about her, she was needed. And If I didn't be there for her, who would? I had alot to think about and I did while she was in surgey. I sat on the chair in the waiting room. I fell asleep for about 40 minutes. Even my dreams couldnt keep my mind off my worries.

 I awoke because my phone rang, it was Julia. She asked where I was and I wanted to lie so bad but part of me knew, the lieng had to stop here. "Julia I am at the hospital"

"Oh my god are you okay?"

"Yes I am but.. my friend Maddie has been stabbed.."

"Oh my, is she okay?"

"I don't know, she is pregnant."

"Wow how far long is she?"

"About 7 months"

"I can't believe it that poor girl, how do you know her?"

"Thats something I need to confess Julia.."

"What is it?"

"I had a one night stand with Maddie seven months ago.. She is pregnant with my child."
