Baby times two -7-

 You must be confused as how I am here at the wedding still marrying Julia, when I told her I cheated on her? Well when I told her on the phone I braced myself for a scream, and some curse words following. Although, Julia didn't she was rather silent and she said after a minute, "I know."

 "How??" I was shocked.

 "I followed you to this chicks place one night, and the next day you came out and she came chasing after you in a robe. I then realized that you WERE having sex with other women. But I some how couldn't blame you I was being prude, so thats why that night I decided I was ready." She spoke rather fast.

 "Oh God, so I have been hiding this when you knew?" I asked.

 "Yes, and I am still hurt you know.." Julia said rather sad.

 "Yes But your still with me?" I asked.

 "I love you and all but after what you did it was hard to stay, and now even harder that you knocked up Maddie.. But I have to marry you because of my baby." Julia replied.

 "I'm just so glad your still marrying me babe!" I told her.

 "On one condition though Jackson!" She snapped into the phone.

 "Uh okay what is it baby?" I asked Julia.

 "You never see that Maddie chick again!" Julia hissed.

 "Wha, what?" I babbled, "She is having my child Julia! I have to!"

 "No Jackson, either forget them or the marriage is off." Julia said coldly.

 "I know I made mistakes but can't I just be in my son's life when he is born?" I begged.

 "No!" Julia hung up the phone. I sat in the hospital hallway wondering what to do.

 "Are you the young fellow who came in with a Ms. Brooks?" A doctor in a long white coat asked as he wrote on a clipboard.

 "Yes!" I jumped up, "Is she okay, what happened?"

 "Chill," The doctor said cooly. "She is stable, and the baby is unharmed."

 "Oh thank you sir, thank you!" I was so happy I hugged the doctor tight.

 "Heh, thats nice son now I must be going. You can go in if you like to see Ms. Brooks." The doctor walked away still scribbling on his clipboard.

 I slowly pushed open the door and across the room layed Maddie in a bed. "Jackson!" she cried out, "Jackson!" I ran over to Maddie and hugged her tightly. "Ow." She said.

 "Sorry, didn't mean to hug so tight."I apologized.

 "Its okay." She replied sounding weak.

 "Who did this to you?" I asked Maddie.

 "Some guy just came out of no where, he wanted money." Maddie teared. "What kind of bastard stabs a pregnant girl because she has no money?"

 "I don't know Maddie, I don't know." I kissed her forhead.

 "When I am out of here I'll be out of your way." Maddie forced a smile.

 "No!" I told her.

 "No, why?" Maddie looked confused.

 "Because I want my baby in my life Maddie, I want you in it too." I held her hand. "Julia knows now,and says wedding is off If i ever see you again.. But I can't stay away my son will need me."

 Maddie smiled wider then ever before, "I'm glad Jackson, your the best." She kissed my cheek.

BACK IN THE PRESENT-

 Everyone continued looking at me, why hadn't I said anything? I looked into the crowd, in the far back sitting on a chair was Maddie. "Maddie." I whispered.

 "What?" Julia hissed, "That girl is at our wedding?"

 "Yes what does that matter if I am marrying you?" I whispered although all our family and friends could hear.

 "Make her leave or wedding is over. Make sure she never comes back!" Julia stomped her feet.

 "I can't Julia, I have to be there for my son like a father." I replied. I heard a few claps people thought I was being right.

 "You know what Wedding off!" Julia ripped her vail and stormed off stage. The crowd was like "HuH?"

 "Julia please!" I begged but she didn't come back. I sat down on the edge of the platform and put my head in my lap.

 "Its okay boy." The priest pat my back and told everyone "Sorry please make your way out as you can see no more wedding here today!"

 I could hear the people awing and walking away. The priest told me I could stay as long as I liked and left too. I thought everyone was gone but then I heard foot steps up to me. I lifted my head up and tears went down my cheek. It was Maddie, in a white flowered summer dress. I smiled, "Your, still here!"

 "Yes Jackson, what you did was so kind." She smiled.

 "What was that?" I asked.

 "Not backing down on being a father, even though it cost you your wedding. I'm sorry bout that." Maddie put her hand on me.

 "Its okay because you know what I realized?" I asked Maddie.

 "What?" Maddie asked me.

 "How beautiful inside and out you are Maddie." I replied.
