   A couple of weeks later Steven and I were walking to school, when we got there we caught up with some friends and when the bell rang Heather left the gym and was at my locker when Steven gave me a small little gift bag.

"Happy Birthday!"

"...for...me?"

"yes for you"

"thank you." she opened it and inside was 3 smelly candles."They smell really good."

"you look disapointed whats wrong?"

"nothing...nothing at all it's just...I've never gotten a gift before...Thank you" she kissed him.

"I didn't know that...never not once?"

"no." "well I better get to class before we're late."

"ok lets go."

After school Heather walked up to Steven,

"Hey"

"hey hun whats up?"

"I was woundering if I could go to your house today and meet your family, it would save me having to see my parents."

"yeah sure, lets go."

we walk to his house, his was a block and a half from mine. We walked in and I could smell a baking smell in the air.

"Hey mom where are you!?"

"in the kitchen." He looked at me.

"come on and meet my mom.

"ok." we walked in the kitchen.

"hey mom this is Heather my girlfriend." I could see her face just light up.

"O! Heather nice to meet you, I have heard just great things about you!"

"Thank you and its good to meet you too,I have nothing but how good your cooking is!"

"here have a cookie you two"

"thanks mom we'll take a couple but we have homework to do."

"Heather will you be with us for dinner?"

"can I?"

"you bet"

"thank you Mrs. Ryan"
