Sounds Like Chemistry (Chapter 6)

I woke up to my alarm blaring and brushed my hair out of my eyes. I stood up, made my bed (yeah I know, I know, how nerdy), and walked to my closet. I couldn't decide what to wear so I walked out onto the balcony that had doors that went into both mine and Freedys room. It felt warm outside, so I walked inside and picked a black tanktop with a bright blue exclamation point on the front out of my draw, and a pair of tight, slightly faded, cut-off, blue jean bermuda shorts out of a different draw. I walked into my bathroom and grabbed a towel of the rack. After I had showered, I looked into the mirror and figured I didn't feel like putting on make-up of straitning my hair. It didnt matter anyways, people should like me for who I am.

I was up early enough that morning to catch the early bus, so when I arrived at school only a few people were there already. I walked to my locker, opened it, and looked at my schedule for the day. 1st period class was Art that day. I  hadnt had that class yet, so put everything in my locker other then my assignment book, and my purse which had everything else I may need in it. I figured I would sit out in front of the school under one of the cool trees while I waited for class to start. As I sat down, my cell phone beeped, saying I had gotten a new text. It read "Hey. Sry i wont b in skool 2day. Ttyl.". It was from Zeth.

I pulled out my assignmet book and started drawing on on of the blank pages in the back, that you are supposed to write your goals or whatever in. When I was about half way through drawing the school from where I was sitting, a voice from right next to me said "Ya know, thats really good, you should take the art class, not that you need it or nuttin."

I looked up and saw a guy sitting next to me. I must have somehow missed when he sat down. He was wearing a plain black tight tee-shirt, dight dark wash jeans, black converse sneakers, and had a silver lip ring. His what looked like natural black hair was covering almost all of one of his what I sware were purple eyes. His hair was shaggy around the back, and I guess you could call it an emo hair cut. "I do take art." i resonded. He smirked and said "Great then, wanna walk to 1st period with me." But he said it as more of a statement.

I looked at my watch and realised it was only a few miniutes before class started. I had been drawing for even longer then I thought. As we walked to class we talked for a bit about various stuff. A few years ago he had lived with his dad in North Carolina for about a year during his parents divorse, so we actually knew a few of the same favorite places.

When we arrived at art class, we saw the seats were kind of like the ones in the chem lab. Set up two people at a table. I sat down in one seat in the very front row, because I love art. He came up next to me and said "Hey, mind if I sit here." I shook my head and he sat down. The teacher came to the front of the room and announced that these would bee our seats for the rest of the year. I remembered I had this class with Zeth, and the only seat the was open was one in the very back, next to this blonde, model figure, girl. "Oh jeeze" I though. He wont be happy we arnt sitting together in this class.

I looked again at the guy next to me and noticed he was actually very handsome. He looked up and said "I felt you staring at me, but it's ok, I was staring at you earlier too." Then he smirked again. "I'm Rayner by the way." He continued. "I'm Miranda." I said and smiled back. "Well Miranda, how about after class, you ditch 2ed period and come with me. I wanna show you one of the coolest places in the whole area." He said slyly. I knew I shouldnt go, it was only my 2ed day of school, and I was new here. I was going to say no, but I looked into his purple eyes and found myself saying I would go. That was so uncharistic of me. I had just met this guy. For all I knew he could have a plan to kill me and dump me in some river somewhere. What the hell was I doing?
