“Thanks you don’t look to bad your self.” I said smiling too. He had on a light gray button down shirt with black dress pants, he looked hot. We got to the church and we were a little early. I got to meet his grandmother. “Jason you came, I am so happy to see you!” his grandmother said.“Jason, who’s Jason?”“Jake is short for Jason in my family. My grandmother likes to call me by my real name.”“Oh. Ok.”“Hello, grandma. How are you today?”“I am fine dear. Now who is this young lady with you?”“Oh grandma this is my girlfriend Kelly Johnson.”“Hello dear it’s nice to meet you.”“It’s nice to meet you Mrs. May.”And I was happy to meet his family. We talked until church started then we listed to the service and after church we went our separate ways. Me and Jake went to lunch at a dinner. The next few weeks were great. We went on dates and went to the lake. But one night when we were at his house, watching a movie and we started to make out. He moved his hand up my shirt and I told him to stop and he said ok. I went to the bathroom to wash my face. I turned out the light and opened the door and his dad was yelling at him. His dad was drunk. Mr. May raised his hand to punch his son but I yelled Stop!“Mr. May, Stop, Stop”He didn’t see me until after he had hit me. He hit me on the side of the jaw. I fell down to the ground. As soon as Mr. May saw what he did he started to apologize to me.“Oh Kelly I’m sorry.” I sat crying on the floor of the pool house.“Kelly are you ok?” Jake asked with tears in his eyes. I thought at first it was because of what just happened to me, but then I saw the red mark on his face right next to his right eye. Mr. May walked out of the pool house. I stayed on the ground crying until I couldn’t cry anymore.“Kelly are you, ok?” Jake asked his voice cracking twice. “Jake what just happened?”“Kelly I’m so sorry. I never meant for you to know about what just happened and never ever for it to happen to you.”“Jake are you saying what just happened, happens all the time?”Jake just nodded his head and he had some tears in his eyes. “Aww Jake I’m so sorry.” I pulled myself up from the ground and walked over to him and reached my hand up to touch his face to see how bad his was, if it was going to buries. But when I reached up to touch his face he flinched away from me. “Jake you know I will never hurt you.” I ran my hand along the mark and all over his face. I pulled him to the bed and I pulled his head into my lap. He cried and cried until he fell asleep. I fell asleep too once he did.   Authors note: Sorry about how sort it is.
