Dreams

Ever get that feeling like ur in a dream even though ur wide awake? Thats the way i feel about my past. It all feels so surreal. like the first 18 years of my life were a dream. Looking back on it I can't recall the bad times. I guess all we can do is look at the past however considering we are never gonna have those days back. It sucks to be honest. I remember a time when life was carefree. A time where my biggest responsibility was taking out the trash or doing the dishes. My how things have changed.

Nowadays, the military has entrusted me with saving peoples lives. Im in a constant state of stress because the decisions i make and my actions can determine wether someone lives or dies. While my job can be extremely rewarding at times, i miss the days of old. Kickin back on a beautiful day watchin football with my pops. I guess some day down the road, ill miss these days as i do my childhood. I guess thats just life.
