So Is It Fate (9)

My heart was pounding and my lips trembling as I read those cold words. With no one to call and no one to hold me, I sat alone in a ball on the couch for hours. That is the biggest downfall of working to much, lack of friends. I have coworkers, but no friends. My family and I don’t speak and haven’t spoken for years now. I lost my only friend a couple years ago in the accident. I sat and thought for hours. The past is where my mind was. What could I have possibly done to someone enough to make them want revenge on me? I slept that night with the lights on and fully clothed. At a quarter to five I woke up in a startle. It had just been a dream, but it seemed so real. I dreamed that Nate was behind all of this. Now fully awake and thinking about my dream I found myself believing maybe he had written the letter. Maybe that is the reason he had to leave. Maybe he is just playing some sick game with me, but why? Why would anyone do this though?

I jumped out of bed and headed for the shower. I quickly got ready for work throwing on a pair of slack and a sweater and throwing my hair in a pony tail. I grabbed my purse and headed for the front door. Opening the front door, I screamed in horror.
