So Is It Fate (10)

My satin white door had been spattered with, what looked like blood, and the words “I See You” where written out with it. The odor was awful, to which had me convinced that it was blood. I immediately shut the door and called the police. This had gone far enough. I sat waiting for thirty minutes before the police arrived. They made a report of the incident and said that was all they could do. Annoyed and upset about the whole situation I left for work. On the way I made a call to a painter I had used before, to come refinish the door, that way I wouldn’t be looking at it when I returned home this afternoon. While driving to work the thought of Nate came to my mind. He did know where I lived and I had not heard from him in the last couple of days. Maybe he was behind all of this.

After arriving at work, I apologized to my boss for being late and briefly explained the reason. He reassured me that everything would be alright and I headed to my desk to begin the day. I cut my computer on as I proceeded to check my voice messages. There weren’t many, just people thanking me for getting their site updated so quickly, one person who had the wrong number, and then Nate. He apologized for leaving in a hurry and asked that I call him as soon as possible. I tried to ignore the message and continue on with my day. So I started checking and replying to what seemed like an endless amount of emails. Mid way into it was an email from some unknown email address Death101. I shuttered at the thought of opening it and finally came up with enough courage to do so. It simply said, “Did you like the art I left on your door?”
