Halloween StoryBy: Torie Highland It was a chilly October afternoon, Halloween to be exact. Gabriella was getting on her costume. Well her appropriate one. She was going to take her little brother and sister trick or treating. Then she was going to a Halloween party with her boyfriend, Brandon. She had been dating him for three years and next weekend would make it four. She could not wait. After she was ready she went downstairs and called Joy- her best friend ever. She was going to pick Joy up before she went to the trunk of treats at church with Caddie and Mark. Caddie- her little sister looked up to Joy. She was sort of a role model for her. When Gabby and Joy were at trunk of treats they let Caddie and Mark go play. Brandon and Raymond walked up to Joy and Gabby as Caddie and Mark were walking off. They hung out for about an hour. “Ayaaaaaaa!” “What was that?” asked Joy to Gabby. “Oh my gosh, it sounded like Caddie,” said Gabby running in the direction the scream seemed to have came from. When Gabby got over to the balloon slide she found Caddie lying on the ground. Warm blood was rushing out of her body. Tears ran down Caddie’s face. Upon seeing this Gabriella yelled for someone to call the paramedics. She was weeping at Caddie’s side when they arrived. As the paramedics were loading Caddie into an ambulance Mark came out from the other side of the slide. He had a black knife sticking out of his back and blood all over his body. How could this be happening? They were 8 and 9 years old. Who would do such a thing? Just as Gabby reached his side he fell to the ground. Ring Ring. Gabriella Pentecost opened her eyes and pushed the button on her alarm on her phone. Wow- what a dream. Well she was glad she had decided not to take them to trunk of treats and was taking them to her aunt Becca’s house. She was going to go to the Halloween party at Garret’s dad’s place with Joy, Trevor, Travis, Tonks, Brandy, and Brandon. When she arrived at the party she was greeted by all of her smiling friends. About half an hour later everyone heard a scream. It came from Garret so they thought it was a Halloween prank. Little did they know there was more to it than that. Her dream had sent her the wrong warning. So what would happen? No one will ever know.
