“Oh come on idiot, the speed limit is 70 you’re going about 20.”  I heard Henry scream, honking. I wasn’t completely awake.  “Shut up man, my woman is trying to sleep.”  Jason said quietly, kicking Henry’s seat. “No it’s okay” I mumbled smiling, one eye open. “Well look who it is, Sleeping Beauty’s finally awake. Somebody slept well.”  Henry said as I looked at my cell. We had been in the car for 3 and a half hours. “10 more minutes baby. Once we get there and unpack we’re going to go out to dinner. Unless you want to stay in and have room service.”  I stretched sitting up, while yawning. “No we can go out, since I’m all rested up.”  Henry changed lanes and sped past the other car. “Do you want to go to the Riverwalk.  We can go on one of those boats, and have dinner…and after we can go back to the hotel and order a movie or something to watch. I got 3 hotel rooms, one for me and you, Sara and Kaley, and then Henry.  We can go swimming tomorrow, or Sea World, it’s all up to you babe, this vacation is all for you, free of charge.  Whatever you want it’s yours on a silver platter.”  I grinned kissing him as we swerved into the parking lot.  “God Henry, trying to kill us so you can have vacation all to yourself?”  I giggled as Jason picked me up and tried carrying me out. I held onto his neck scared for my life. We ran inside and he laid me on the couch.  I caught my breath as he got the keys for the rooms. He came by and picked me up again. “I’m her brother” he laughed telling the receptionist. She gave us a dirty look.

He ran me up the stairs and into the room, he laid me on the bed.  “Don’t you need help with the ba---“He put his finger to my lips.  “I’ll get your stuff and mine, you stay here.”  I waited for him as Kaley came in taking her key from the room.  She shook her head, “You two are going to be the cause of my death. All your love business, bleh.”  She walked out and threw Henry his key. Jason came back up with the bags, and set them beside the door closing it. “So are you excited?”  He asked, unzipping the bags and hanging things. I nodded, “Of course I am, I’m with you for the first time and I’m super excited.  I mean when does a life like this happen to someone like me, hmmm never!”  He turned around, “Well you deserve it.”  When he said that I thought about all the things he’s done for me, makes me feel like a bad girlfriend. I’m treated like a queen.  I remember, just 4 months or more ago. I cut. Myself that is, because…things didn’t seem to be going right, and past issues caught up with me. And I didn’t know what to do. And of course I told Jason about it. He was mad, but not angry mad…he was mad that he couldn’t be there to protect me, he said those exact words.

“Earth to Kassidy, you ready to go?”  Jason said closing the closet door. “Yea, I don’t really feel like dressing up. Is everyone else ready.”  I said getting up walking outside with Jason.  We knocked on their doors and headed down to the Escelade, Jason said in the driver’s seat and I sat in the passengers.  Henry, Sara, and Kaley sat in the back.  “Oh that is sad man, you have to sit in the back of your own car”, Kaley told Henry, he shoved her lightly.  “Settle down children, we’re going to The Magic Time Machine and if you all behave you can eat.”  Jason laughed pulling out of the hotel parking lot.  I pulled out my phone as my parents ringtone set off.  “Shit, alright it’s my parents everyone shut up.”  I said flipping it open.  “Hello?”  I said holding my other ear so I could hear better. They went on a marriage retreat and they were in the woods so reception was bad.  “Hey how are ya doin’ kiddo?”  My dad said.  “I’m fine, just hanging out you know…”  Jason honked the horn.  “What was that?”  I punched him lightly on the arm.  “Oh me and Sara are playing some video games.”  There was a pause, “Alright then. Your mother and I are going to stop by some friends house on the way home. So we probably won’t be home for another 2 weeks.  Is that okay, remember Mrs. Mendez said that if you want to you can stay at their house.”  I rolled my eyes, “Dad I’m fine, you and mom take as much time as you need…love you…bye.”  I said trying to rush to end the call.  “Everything alright, did he believe you.”  Jason asked turning into the parking lot putting his hand on my upper leg.  “Yea, their staying for a few more days so they won’t be home for another 2 weeks.”  He smiled as we found a parking spot, and Kaley put a finger down her throat gagging.  “Alright let’s go.”  He said getting out locking it.

Jason opened the door for me and walked inside.  “Welcome to the Magic Time Machine table for…5?”  He nodded and they led us to a table. For those who have never been to the Magic Time Machine, it’s a restaurant with movie characters as your waiters and waitresses, you can get their autographs afterwards.  Robin Hood was our waiter.  “Drinks my fellow people?”  He asked. We gave him our orders and talked for a while.  The passed by and I was getting tired. But we finally finished eating and we went to the Riverwalk.  We got into one of those boats and floated along.  I was sitting next to Jason, my head resting on his shoulders, his arm around my shoulders.  “Wow this is going to be pretty hard for you Jason” Henry said.  I looked up as everyone was grinning at Jason.  “What will be hard?”  He bent down on one knee, the boat swaying.  “Kassidy…will you marry me…or at least be engaged to me until your 18 and then get married?”  He whispered.
