New Boy In Town [10]

Eric put the key into the doorknob, and twisted the handle open to reveal the house that once homed him when he was young. Everything had changed. All the walls painted, new light fixtures, everything. He trugged up the stairs, with Torre right behind him.

A few hours later;;

"Hey Torre, I'm going to run to the Market, if that's still what yall call it."

"Yeah, that's what it's called. It's in the same place as well." She said teasing him slightly.

Torre sat on the couch and turned on the television to find that absoultely nothing was on. She went outside, it was a beautiful day. She sat on the swing that hung from the roof, and listened to the birds chirp. After about 20 minutes of sitting, she began to see someone walking down the street come into view. Once the person was into a eye-viewing distance, she saw it was nevertheless Jackson. She gasped, not wanting him to see her. But, consquently to her delay of swiftness, he saw her bolting into the house. A slight grin spread across his face, and nearly ran to the door.

He beat furiously on the door. "Come on Torre! Don't you wanna see your fav' ex?" Jackson yelled through the door.

"Go away! Leave me the hell alone!!" Torre screamed back.

"Torre, open the door. Don't make me kick it down."

Torre ran down the hall. Point blank, she had no clue where she was going. She ended up in a room decorated for what looked like would be a 10 year olds room. A.k.a, Eric's old room. 'So it hasn't changed so much as we thought..' Torre thought while trying to find a place to hide.

She remembered the one place her and Eric's place to go when they wanted to be alone and just talk. The Attic. She got into the closet, climb the rack they always used, and sealed the hole just as Jackson broke down the door. She crawled all the way to the other side of the attic and hid inside a large chest. It had old blankets in it and clothes, so it wasn't to uncomfortable. It seemed like forever that she had been hiding in there, but it was only four minutes. After about seven other minutes of waiting, she was crying softly and wishing Eric hadn't left when he did. Suddenly, the top of the chest flew open, and there was Jackson.

He grinned bigger than before, and pulled Torre out by the her hair. She tried to scream, but Jackson covered her mouth with her hand. He pulled her all the way to the opening, and threw her down it. She landed on the ground hard and could already feel the bruising on her back. She couldn't move to get away, just await the fate she possessed. Once he got down, he pulled her into the living room by her hair once more and threw her against the wall. She was in tremendous pain, her bones, and not to mention head, was aching. She gripped onto her stomach, and crouched over into a ball. He kicked her once in the stomach, and picked her up over his shoulder and threw her onto the couch. She boucned off and hit her head on the corner of the maple coffee table and passed out..

When she woke up a few hours later, she saw that she had been moved. She was now in a huge bed, which was extremely comforting on her sore body. She strained to get up, but in the effort rolled off the body and toppled onto the floor with a loud thump. Eric ran in right after and picked her up and layed her onto the bed.

"Wha.. what happened." Torre studdered out trying to understand everything.

"Sweety, Jackson came here. He tried to kill you, but I came in time. Don't worry about him now, he won't be back, I promise."

"Eric, I love you.." She said peering into his eyes. He smilied gently and leaned down over the bed and whispered into her ear, "I love you too.."
