Learning to Fall. [2]

"Momma, I'm leavin to go to the school, I'll be back whenever it's going to be over, Later." Leona said with her light county accsent from the screen door.

"Alright sweetie, bye." Her mother replied from the couch in the living room.

Leona walked down the sidewalk quietly. The birds chirped from the powerlines and seemed to watch her walk by. It was semi-cloudy, but it didn't have signs of rain.

Her knee length skirt blew in the breeze, clenching onto her legs, and her sweater blocked out the wind. She tied her hair up into a pony-tail, trying to look as presentable as possible. Her hair was mid-back length, a bright blonde color. Her grey eyes shined and the freckles on her face were clearly viewable. She wore absoultely no make-up, her father always told her she was beautiful no matter what.

"I'm here for the tutoring program, my mother signed me up the other day." Leona said to the woman at the front desk.

"Okay, here's the name of the child your tutoring, she'll be in her in a moment." The woman replied slipping a sheet of paper towards her. The name read "Rebecca Mullins."

As soon as Leona read the name to herself, a girl slowly walked into the school lobby. Leona recongized the little girl. It was the girl from the sidewalk with the water gun. A boy beside the girl led her over to Leona, and smiled when her eyes meet with his. Rebecca was adorable for a little kid. Her shoulder length brown hair was scrunched up and her blue eyes were protected by a girl of thick, black rimmed glasses. The guy on the other hand, looked like an angel from heaven. He had black hair that was shaggy and he had on a striped green and white polo. He had braces and looked great when he smiled.

"You must be Leona, this is Rebecca. She's a bit shy, but she'll grow on you soon." The guy said to Leona. She looked up at him. She nodded and smiled a bit, competely baffled why a guy with his looks would be helping tutor. He seems like that on who would be doing some random chick from the school.

"The tutoring will be over by three today, thanks for helping with this, it's really apprciated." the boy said.

"Your welcome um.."

"Austin."

"Austin, yeah. Um, Rebecca, why don't we go to the library and began?" Leona said bending down to Rebecca. She nodded and they headed of to the library. Leona looked back at Austin, who was walking towards the office looking back over his shoulder slighty.
