I Can't Love You [6]

     Aira woke up the next morning smiling.She went straight to the bathroom, brushed her teeth, her hair, and applied eye liner then went to breakfast.Stephanie was still asleep, so she decided not to wake her.When she got in the kitchen it was empty except her mom.She grabbed a poptart then started out of the kitchen. "Morning hun."

   Aira hadn't quite gotten over what her mom had ben keeping from her, but she was beggining to.She smiled and hugged her. "Morning."

    She was jogging back up the stairs when she saw Ryland standing outside at the pool.He was standing right at teh very edge, so she snuck out and got right behind him then yelled, "HEEY!" super loud.He yelled, "Woah!" then turned around too quickly and fell into the pool.Aira was laughing so hard she was crying.He got out of the pool and gave her a big hug getting her soaking wet.She turned around pushed him playfully.He laughed then dried himself off.Aira just walked back inside wet and went upstairs to the bathroom.She took a hot shower, then got dressed.She did her hair then Stephanie woke up.

  "Mornin Steph." Aira chirped.

   Stephanie raised an eyebrow. "Um, morning Aira." She smiled.

   After Stephanie had showered and Aira did her hair and makeup again, she tapped Aira on the shoulder. "Can I ask you something?"

    "Sure." Aira smiled sweetly.

      Stephanie took a deep breath. "This really cute guy from phsycology aske me out.Should I go?He asked me if I could go today, and... could I?"

     "I don't see any reason why not." Aira smiled.

    Then Ryland walked in. "Hey girls.Steph, it's time to get home, Granny just called, she isn't feeling well.Let's go."

     Stephanie waved to Aira, and Ryland smiled as they left.Aira went after them though. "Can I go with you guys?I want to meet your grandmother!"

     Ryland smiled. "Sure come on!"

     The drive was quiet, and Ryland seemed to be troubled.He kept glancing over at Stephnie through the mirror.Aira nudged him, and mouthed 'Waht's wrong?' He mouthed back. 'Something isn't right.' Aira nodded and they kept driving.When they arrived everyone jumped out and ran to the door. "Nanna?" Stephanie called when she got inside. "Nanna?" She ran through the living room and kitchen and she wasn't there.

       "Nanna?" Ryland's deep voice, usually calm, was full of fear.

      They all ran upstairs and Aira took her bedroom, Ryland the bathroom, Stephanie took the guest room.Aira went around the side of the bed and saw their nanna lying face down on the crapet, her skin was an unhealthy ash color. "Oh no.." she whispered at first then yelled. "Oh no Ryland!Get in here!"

       Ryland came running into the room and saw his grandmother then his eyes fogged over and Aira went to find a phone.Stephanie came running, but Aira kept her out. "I have to see my grandmother!LET GO AIRA!"

      "Stehpanie STOP!You can't go in there!Just sit down right here!" Aira ordered with force.

      Stephanie sat down crying as Aira dialed the number 911. "Yes, my friend's grandmother has seemed to have had a heart attack we need an ambulance right away!" she spoke frantically.

      Aira gave her all the info she needed then hung up.Someone was there within 5 minutes.Their Nanna was wheeled out.Ryland seemed at a distance, and Stephanie was, well, she was in pain.Aira was in complete shock after seeing that.When they got to the hospital, she was pronounced dead.Ryland called his aunt and uncle to come deal with all of the funeral stuff, and he walked outside and to the rail.It had a beautiful view of everything since it was on higher ground.He looked out over the city and took a shaky breath.Aira touched his arm. "Ryland?"

    "I should have been there.I could  have done something.I should have just come home last night!" he said quietly.He wouldn't look her in the eyes.

     She put her hand on his. "It isn't your fault.There was nothing you could have done.Remember what I said last time when you told me your secret?"

      He nodded. "If God didn't think it was her time to go, he wouldn't have taken her."

      "Right.She was old anyway Ry, and it's natural.Don't blame yourself."

       He smiled still looking out over the landscape.Aira loved this picture right here.It was barely 9 in the morning, and the sun was light and beautiful, it was a color of blue that took someone's breath away.The light played off of Ryland's features which was an even more beautiful to see then the view.His smile was just icing ont he cake to the pretty picture.His smile slowly faded, and Aira took his hand in hers.She held it to her heart.

   "You're going to need someone to help you through this."

   He sighed. "I already have my best friend and baby sister, what else could I need?" he smiled lightly nudging her.

   "Maybe, a girlfriend?" she bit her lip.

   He looked over at her, his smile growing brighter. "You're serious?"

   "Very."

    He hugged her and kissed her forehead.

   "Ryland, you know, it's okay to show your feelings and emotions every once in a while."

   He looked away again. "Well, is it okay for someone to cry on their girlfriends shoulder?"

   He looked back with tears in his eyes and she just sunk with sadness. "Of course." she said, her voice barely a whisper because she didn't trust her voice.

   She hugged him and they sank to the ground.She wrapped her arms around his neck and layed her head on his shoulder.Her had his hands on her back, but now he tightened his grip and his arms were on his back, but she was slim, so it wasn't hurting her.She put her hand on the back of his neck, and the other on his back, gently going up and down massaging it. "Ryland, it's going to be okay.

    He pulled her gently to where she was facing him. "I know.Thanks to you." They stood up and looked over the view together, holding hands.He looked over at her, and she looked over at him, and they kissed.Slowly and softly at first, then more passionately.He put his hand on her back, the other hand still holding hers.Then Stephanie came out and laughed a sad, but amused laugh.

    They turned around and she walked inbetween them and they put their arms around her too.It was sorta like a little family, and Aira liked the way all of this felt.She liked the idea of having a family, especially with Ryland.Their eyes met, and she could tell he was thinking the same thing.She smiled up at him then looked down at Stephanie staring at the both.Stephanie was the first to say something about it. "I could get used to this." Everyone smiled and Ryland kissed his sister's forehead then Aira's lips. "So could I Steph, so could I." Ryland said as they walked back in.

 Okay, very very dramatic.But I hope you liked it!Tell me what you think!In the next chapter, Ryland and Aira make a decision that will make some of you happy, and some of you think, wow they're stupid!It personally makes me happy, cause I love those too!Okay, so you haven't been hearing much of Porter, Sienna, Braden, and Daphne.But you will in the next one, ALONG WTIH Cecelia and Corrine.The bratty stuck up snobs.Hope ya keep readin!
