God he's gourgeous. I thought to myself as I walked home.

I wonder if I'll see him again?

Just as the thought popped into my head I heard Andy Baknier and a couple of his football friends talking about Zach.

"Hey have you guys seen that new kid? What a freak!" says Travis Snaches.

"Yeah I saw him. He was talking to Anna in the hall. I think we should welcome him to our school witha good beating!"

OH MY GOD! Andy Baknier likes me! EWW GROSS! Andy is about 5' 11" and is a jerk. He only gets a girlfriend because he is the cutest guy in school. Other than Zach.

"I don' see what you see in Anna dud. She's really pale. That's probably not healthy. Though...every time she looks at me I fucking melt in those eyes of her's." Josh Beaton mutters.

My mama always said I have the most beautiful eyes in the state of Iowa. They are big and brown. With enough mascara they look even bigger.

"I swear to God, you ask her out I will kill you." yells Andy while punching Josh in the arm.

"Guy, let's just find this Zach kind and beat the shit out of him." says Travis.

I can't let them hurt Zach.

Walking home from school isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I live about 4 blocks from the school and I brought my iPod so I had something to listen too.

Out of no where I see Anna running from an old building that I live by. She doesn't see me because I stopped, more like froze where I was. When she ran into another building I decided to take a short cut and go through the buildings.

BOOM!!!

Behind me a garbage can had fallen over and behind the garbage can were 3 guys. This isn't going to be good.

"Can I help you?"

"What, do you work at Wal Mart?" says the biggest one. The other two laugh.

"What do you want?" I manage to say. I had my hand in my pocket ready to get out my pocket knife if I needed to.

"We just wanted to welcome you too the town of Shannon City, we are also going to beat the shit out of you!" says the second one.

"Why?"

"I say you talking to Anna Locke today at school, after you dumped her things on the floor. I love Anna. I saw the way you looked at her and I don't like it. So your gonna get a lesson on not talking to other guys chicks." says the biggest one...I think his name is Andy, I heard it in the hall all day, but I'm not sure.

"I thought this was a free world. I'm aloud to talk to and look at whoever I want."

With that I see a huge fist coming at me. I try to move but I'm not fast enough. He hit me right on the face. After I manage to get my sight back, I pull my knife out and flick it open.

Out of my good eye I see his eyes get big. The other two whisper something and join Andy or whoever it is. Then like and angel floating down from heaven, Anna appears out of nowhere. She slowly walks over to me staring at my knife the whole time.

"Oh Zach. OH MI GOD! Are you ok?" she squeals. I know by the sound of her voice and the way she looks at my face I probably arleady have a bruise on my eye. Great. My mom is going to kill me.

"I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"

I look down at her and tell she is really worried. Her brown eyes are getting watery. I don't want her to cry, but I don't even know this girl. I don't know what to do, let alone say.

"Anna, I'm sure. I'll be fine."

"Anna, baby. Why dont' you come over here and talk to a real mean." says Andy. His friends start to snicker.

"Fuck off Andy,(HA, I was right!) Josh, Travis. SHUT UP! Come on Zach, lets go." She says as she graps my hand and starts to walk away.
