I knew something was wrong. I could feel it. As I ran into my house and threw my stuff on my bed and was about to run out the door, the phone rang.

"Hey Annalie!" said my best friend Beckie.

"Hey Beck, I got to go. I was just walking out the door when you called." I tried to say it without sounding angry, but it didn't work.

"Oh ok, Call me back though. I got big news." she said sounding hurt.

I open the door and start down the street. After wantdering around for 10 minutes I hear commotion but the buildings I live by. As I go down the alleyway I hear Zach mutter, "I thought this was a free world. I'm aloud to talk to or look at anyone I want."

I start to run but in high heels and a skirt it isn't easy. I'm not fast enough. Zach is standing there. I can see where Andy punched him. I see the knife Zach is holding and I slow down. I'm nervous but I walk up to him. With tears in my eyes I mangage  to say,"Zach OH MY GOD. Are you ok?"

I'm trying not to cry, but it's not working. I look into his eyes and know he's hurt.

"I'm fine." he lies.

I want to believe him, but I can't.

"Are you sure?"

I don't even know why I'm so worried. I hardly know this guy. I just meet him today.

"Anna, I'm sure. I'm fine."

"Anna, baby. Why don't you come over here and talk to a real man!" Andy says afer about 30 seconds. Josh and Travis start to laugh.

"Fuck off Andy. Josh, Travis SHUT UP! Come on Zach lets go." I yell. I was so mad.

I've never said fuck before, but it felt pretty good. That and the fact that I just grabbed Zach's hand.
