Tyler Michaels was so excited for the first day of 2nd grade. He couldn't wait to see his friends but most of all he couldn't wait to tell them about his fishing trip his dad is going to take him on.

As he walked onto the playground he looked over at the basketball hoops and saw them, his best friends. Beau, Tim, and David.

He ran over and they all slapped hands.

"Guys you will never guess what my dad and I are doing on Saturday." Tyler said enthusiastically.

"What?"asked David.

"Is he taking you to Cabel's?" asked Beau.

"Nope, better." Tyler was almost going to explode with exsitement.

"What? What is it?" said Tim.

"My dad is gonna take me fishing!" Tyler practically yelled.

"Oh no way." they all said at the same time.

"Do you think your dad could take me?" asked Beau.

"No, he said it was just gonna be the 2 of us."

"Oh ok."

Meanwhile

Ashley Kellers was wearing her brand new pink dress with a matching bow in her hair. She hated the thing. Even though her mom told her not to, she was going to get it all dirty at recess.

"Shows her not to dress me in this hideous thing." Ashley thought to her self...

As Ashley was putting her backpack in her cubbie her best friend since Kindergarten, Bella Cringle, walked up to her and poked her side.

"Hey Ashley, lets go outside and chase the boys!"

"Um ok, just let me put my things away first."

"Ok meet me out there!"

Bella ran out the door and Ashley was about to join her when she saw Tyler, David, Beau, and Tim walk in the door. She overheard them talking about a fishing trip that Tyler was going on on Saturday.

"Oh I LOVE fishing" though Ashley. "I wonder if I showed up they would let me go too?"

Saturday Morning

"Tyler are you ready?" Yelled Kyle, Tyler's dad.

"Yeah"

Tyler pounded down the stairs wearing his camo shorts, a bright red t-shirt, his favorite Saint Louis Cardnals hat, and a pair of untied shoes. His hair was sticking out everywhere and his pants hadn't been washed in a couple days.

As they walked out the door Tyler was telling his dad how big the fish he was going to catch was going to be.

"It is going to be hu-"

Just then the old white gate that surrounded his whole house creaked. He looked over and saw Ashley walk in holding a fishing pole.

Oh no.

"Well hello Ashley. What are you doing here today?" asked Kyle.

"Um I was wondering if I could go fishing with you guys today." she shrugged shyly.

She was wearing a pair of capris and a yellow tank top. She had her hair up in a ponytail and she was carrying a long black fishing pole.

"We would love to have you joining us today Ashley." said Kyle

That definatly wasn't the answer Tyler was expecting.

"WHAT? What do you mean she can go? Oh come on dad! You said that Beau couldn't go but your letting this girl go! That is so unfair!" yelled Tyler. "I can't believe this!"

10 years later!

"Where is he?" Ashley thought to herself.

She was leaning up against her blue Malibu at the Port Angalus Airport. She was wearing a pair of cut off jeans, bright pink tank top, and white flip flops. It was the end of summer after graduation and Tyler was just getting home. He had been in Mexico for the last 3 weeks and it was killing Ashley to wait for him.

"ASHLEY!"

"ASHLEY! I'M OVER HERE!"

She saw him. His very fun bleached brown hair, his bright green eyes, his big muscles that he earned from playing 4 years of football,and his very old and crappy St. Louis Cardnals hat.

She ran up to him and jumped into his waiting arms. She kissed him like there was no tomorrow. He was just as eager. He pulled away and looked into her deep blue seagreen eyes and smiled.

"I missed you." he said smiling then kissing her again.

Even though she should be used to his smile, it still knocked the breath out of her. So while she wanted to keep kissing him she pulled back to get a break. Giving him a back breaking hug she said, "Don't ever leave me again!!"
