Courtney walked into George's andooked around. Se saw Jason and waked toward him. He had called earlier that afternoon and asked her to have dinner with him. Telling Nickthat she was meeting up with an old friend would be some of the truth, but he would ask her lots of questions that she wasn't in the mood to answer. So she told him she was going shopping instead. Walking toward the old red checkered table Courtney started to think about how she meet Jason.

FLASHBACK!

"Courtney you're only 16 once!" yelled Marie.

"I don't see why you are making me do this. You know how I get around boys. I get all nervous and clammy. I start to stutter. PLEASE don't make me go."

"Courtney Lynn Milo. Don't you EVER speak like that again. You will absolutely LOVE him. He is funny, charming, sweet, bust best ofall...he is a major hottie."

"Oh great. Embarrestment City here I come."

Wearing a black V neck shirt with a white tank under and blue jeans with black boots Courtney walked out of Marie's house looking stunning. Without the boots Courtney was about 5'5" with black hair just below her shoulders. Her eyes were sea reen and sh had perfect cherry lips.

"Marie do you even know what resturant we are going too?"

"Yeah, I just don't now where it is though."

10 minutes later

Walking into Georgie's was like walking into the 1950's. The tables were red and white checkered and the seats covered in plastic. You could smell the steam from the fryer and taste the lard on your fingers. Even in May Courtney was freezing. It felt like they had the air set to 40 degrees.

"Marie I really don-"

"THERE THEY ARE!"

That is the first time Courtney ever saw Jason. He was wearing a tigt blue shirt and jeans with cowboy boots. He looked even more nervous than she was. He had midnight blue eyes and alittle bit to long brown hair. He was adorable.

"Hi, I'm Jason. Jason Black." He stuck his hand out so shecould shake it. Very gentlemeny of him.

"I'm Courtney Milo."

"Milo? As in Dr. Milo?"

"Yeah, that's my dad."

"Interesting."

Courtney turned around to see what Marie was ordering, but instead she got to see Marie sucking the face off of some blondie. She turned backto Jason who was looking at them too.

"Do you want to go somewhere with me?" He asked looking down at his hands.

"Yeah. I'd love too."

Jason took herto the meadows where they talked for hours. After that night Courtney and Jason were inseperable. She was always stealing his cowboy hats or boots, then making him chase her. As long as she lives she will never forget that summe.

FLASHBACK OVER

Courtney reached the table and sat down. Jason looked up from the menu and smiled.

"Has the food changed?" Picking up her menu Courtney didn't even want to know how many calories were in a cheeseburger.

"Nope." he smiled making a popping sound.

That was one of the things she missed the most about him. The little things. Like how when he slept he would tighten his arms around her or how he never combedhis hair.

After they ordered they started talking like they hadn't even missed each other for 5 years. She askd him how much the town had changed and he asked her how Nick was. It was all going fine until he popped the biggest question of them all.

"Courtney, where and why did you go?"
