 I went to history in a daze and sat there while Mrs. Nag went on and on about the french cass system.

 Once that was finished I met Camber at her locker to go to lunch.

 "Hey Cam, What's for lunch today" I asked on the way to the cafeteria.

 "I don't know," she said quietly "but we're not going through that line-"she pointed to the express snack line "I don't want to try that food"

 Instead we went through the regular line. As we came out of line hadley appeared in the corner of the caf I ignored her and followed her to Branson's table.

 Hadley came closer and Prain sat next to cam. My teeth started chattering and goosebumps raised on my arms. I knew I would have 'friends' following me round all day but I really didn't want to deal with whatever they needed right now.

 I must have looked pale because Camber and Branson both asked what was wrong with me.

 "I don't know I heard we may have a test next period and I see more of the back of my eyelids than the actual book in that class" It was a white lie but there was a test in Science and I do sleep in there.

 Not wanting to let it slide Branson went on. "Do you want me to ask Rylin to take you home you honestly don't look well Rell."

 "No I'm fine I promise just a momentary thing." I tried to look warmer and while eyeing Hadley.

 Yes I slipped but I had to get her to go away but something in her eyes made me jump.

 I hadn't seen that look but I knew something was wrong instantly.

 I excused myself to go get a book out of my locker and they followed.

 As soon as I knew I was out of earshot I turned and asked hadley what was going on.

 "Sarell," Hadley said in an ominous voice "the time has come for you to take control over your full gifts." She looked at Prain and I got the feeling that the conection with the past thing from earlier was going to be explained.

 "Wh-wh-what do you mean Hadley?" I asked trying not to let my fright show but failing terribly at it.
