P.S. I Love You [14]

It was the day Dustin was leaving it kind of was frustrated I didn’t want to say goodbye but I didn’t want him to leave without me saying goodbye. I went to sit next to Jenna and said, “There has to be another reason why he is leaving.”

“Well maybe he likes another girl and doesn’t want to hurt you.” Jenna said making me feel even worse

“You are going out with Dustin?”

“No, trust me I won’t do that to a friend.”

“Mhmmm”

“I have done it to one person and now we are enemies.”

“Was that person Natasha?”

“Yes”

            Natasha walks by and says “Serenity, why don’t you sit with us today.”

“Okay.”

            So I went back in the cafeteria and sat at Natasha’s table. She started to talk about what happened between her and Jenna. “And after the goodbye dance I won the boy.” Natasha was ending the story. “Wow! Who was the boy?” I asked scooting closer to Natasha.

“Jenna didn’t tell you?”

“Nope”

“Oh, maybe because she didn’t want to hurt you.”

“Why would she hurt me?”

“Because it was Dustin.”

“That was in 8^th grade not a big deal.”

“They both still like each other and they are going out with each other.”

            I was so shocked I hated that story. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I even asked Jenna, but she lied to me.

            It was after school and it was time to say our goodbyes. I didn’t show up I was scared to say goodbye. But I eventually came and I started yelling. “Why would you go behind my back and go out and not even tell the truth?” I asked

“What?” Dustin asked not expecting any of this.

“Don’t act dumb Dustin.” Jenna said

            It went on for awhile and the weirdest thing was that Jenna was mad at Dustin too. Once Dustin left my heart fell apart but I was happy. “Why were you mad at Dustin?” I asked Jenna while walking home. “Dustin told you lies, I am not going out with him and I don’t like him.” Jenna explained

“Dustin? Dustin didn’t tell me anything it was Natasha”

“What?”

            Natasha mad us both mad at Dustin and we were suppose to say goodbye to him. I feel like a fool. I actually believed Natasha, but so did Jenna so I don’t feel as bad. Things always turn out bad. Now I will never see him again. That was it he is gone and I was so rude to him for no reason.
