Girl Battle Chapter 2

It was the next day and I got on the bus and sat next to Jonnie. She was looking out the window, so I had to tap her a thousand times till she finally turned around. “I was thinking last night about the bet you made and I kind of realized I have to get Ryan to go out with me before junior prom and before Sarah wins him.” I said shaking her shoulders and going crazy because this was going to be impossible.

“Oh you can do it, just plan how you will get him and make it happen.” Jonnie said like it was simple

“Okay, but there is one problem.” I said

“What is that?” She asked

“I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO.” I yelled so loud that all the people on the bus became quiet and stared at me.

“Wow, that is a problem, but I have a solution.” She put on an evil smile

“Umm can you tell me it?” I asked

“Oh right, just be someone that is not you. Don’t be such a sweetheart all the time. Act like you act around me.” She said

“Okay I will try.” I only act crazy around Jonnie because I feel comfortable doing weird things around her. I looked at the back of the bus and I thought I was about to lose the bet. I saw Sarah and Ryan holding hands.

                The bus stopped and once I got off Jonnie and I waited at the side of the bus for Sarah and Ryan to come out. Once they did they were totally kissing.

“That was quick.” I said

“Yeah you can say that again. At least we tried.” Jonnie said starting to walk away. I grabbed her by the shirt and said, “Yeah right I know you, you would never give up.” I said smiling

“Oh boy I can’t fool you.” Jonnie said. I hit her on the shoulder than we walked into the building. In the corner I saw Sarah and Ryan and they weren’t making out. Actually Sarah was giving Ryan money. “So she got Ryan the easy way.” Jonnie said and went up to Sarah and said, “This does not count.”

“It’s not what you think it is. I own him money from last year.” She tried to come up with an excuse. Ryan walked away.

“You didn’t even know him last year.” Jonnie said

“Fine, I still will win.” Sarah flips her hair and walks away it’s like her signature.

“Why are you still standing here? Go talk to Ryan.” Jonnie pushed me and of course I bumped into Zack. Zack laughs and says, “Wow freak we keep meeting this way.” He laughs again.

“I guess we do.” I gave him my fake smile and walked towards Ryan. He kept walking it was like impossible to get him to stop. Spoke too soon he stopped at his locker.

“Hey Ryan I am Michelle.” I introduced myself

“Hey Michelle, according to everyone else you’re a freak. I am trying to become popular, so I can’t be seen around you. So bye.” He closed his locker and walked away. Jonnie came up to me and asked, “So how did it go?” hitting my shoulder with her elbow.

“It is going like it does with every other boy.” I said rolling my eyes

“Ouch that’s bad. Will work on it I promise.” Jonnie hugged me.
