Once we got to the county fair, Jason pulls up in the parking lot. It wasn't that big of a fair, plus there wasn't a whole lot of people around. Jason shuts off the truck at looks over at me.
"Do you really want to come here?" he asks, looking at the surprised expression on my face.
"Of course that's fine. I'm actually kinda excited to see what it's like." I reply.
"So you know there won't be that many people here because of a school day, but there will be a few. And nothing is really open. The only thing we can view is the up at the barn. There's a few people up there for the farm show. The show cows, horses... anything mostly." Jason explains.
"Sounds fun," I smile as I hop out of the truck.
After we get out of the truck, we head over to the barn. It stank, but that's what I assumed it would be like. What would you think it would smell like? Bananas?
"Jason!" a voice shouts from behind the two of us.
We turn around at the same time. It was Kendra's boyfriend, Kyle.
"What are you doing here? Aren't you suppose to be in school?" I question, as Kyle walks up to us.
"I'd like to say the same for the two of you. I live on a farm. I helped raise a few of these animals. I'm showing them this afternoon. Do you have a problem with that?" he sneers, with his southren accent.
"I was just curious." I respond.
"Rose, do you mind if me and Kyle talk alone for a bit?" Jason asks.
"Sure that's fine. I'll be over here." I say, as I walk over to some of the horses.
Geez! I didn't think Kyle would sound that snobby.
