Chapter 17

I pull Jason away after a long two minute kiss. I open my mouth because I was so surprised.

"Well that went well." Jason says.

"I'm sorry I was so demanding. I don't know what overcame me." I reply.

"No I don't mind. I'm so glad I actually kissed you. I thought I was going to be lucky enough to give ya a peck on the cheek." he tells me.

"Well, we would have kissed sometime, I just didn't expect it to be now." I state.

"Was it what you expected?" he asks.

"The kiss?" I pause as he nods. "Well, sort of. I thought that actual sparks were fly in mid-air. I mean did you have that feeling that you never felt before?" I question, even though it sounds weird asking him.

"Yeah actually, I felt like was being lift off my feet for the first time. I know that probably sounds gay coming out from a guys mouth like mine but it was unbelievable." he smirks.

I blush slightly. "Let's go see if Kendra's alright?" I takes my hand and we walk pace over to Kendra and Kyle sitting on the bleachers. She's beginning to stop crying. I take a seat beside her.

"I told him," she said to me.

"About what?" I question.

"What I told you earlier. He knows about all my step-fathers. And there is also something I wanted to tell all of you that I've been forcing myself to keep a secret."

"Well what is it then?" I ask, as Jason looks confused beside me, waiting for someone to explain.

"OK, I told you about my step-fathers and how three of them had raped me. Well, when I was fourteen after my fifth father rapes me and three months later end up pregnant, but you know what I did so no one would find out?" she said, as I saw the tears slip from her eyes.

"Kendra don't tell me you had an abortion," I reply, but I know she did because she starts crying her eyes out, so I lean in for a hug, as she rests her head on Kyle's shoulder.

I really feel bad for Kendra now. For just meeting her, she really is an awesome friend. Suddenly, my gaze goes over to Jason's father, with his cold, heartless eyes. I can just see him. When I talked to him, he seemed really nice, but the way I've heard that he treats Kendra and Jason, he isn't much of a father. I tear my eyes away from his.

How could someone be so heartless? I wonder. The way Jason explained the way he was when they were younger, it was like what a real father would be like.

I sigh. Out of no where, I start seeing this odd figure of a person, but something wasn't right. It was as if it was a hologram, or a ghost. It was a boy about my age and he looked pretty darn cute too.

I shake my head and open my eyes again. The figure disappeared. I look everywhere, but it was gone.

"Rose are you alright?" Jason questions.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I said.

Why would I all of a sudden start seeing ghosts? Was I just seeing things, or was that the real thing?

(Authors Note: ok I hate to break it to you, but I will be moving and I won't have internet access for the next couple weeks. So, this might be the last chapter I'll be posting for a while.
