Chapter 28

Waiting and waiting… it had been a good three hours we sat there, doing nothing. My parents had to go to some important meeting for work and Gina was kicked out of the hospital because she was screaming at nurses, worried about her son. So it was just me and Jesse.

“Are you with Travis McGraw?” a male nurse asked us.

“Yeah, is he all right?” Jesse questioned him.

“He’s fine; just a broken arm is all.” He replied with a smile, though I don’t know why you would smile about a broken arm. I honestly thought he was gay, not that it was a probably, but he just seemed too happy. Great way to judge people, I know.

“May we go in a see him?” I wondered.

“Sure thing,” he said, pointing down the hall. “Just go down this hallway and it will be the first door on your left.” He guided.

“Thanks,” I said getting up out of the seat and Jesse followed. I could tell that Jesse was a bit shaken and worried how his brother would react. Just the look on his face, told me that he was freaking out a bit.

Once we entered into the first room on the left, there were actually one other person in the room with Travis. Luckily, he was right inside the door. As soon as Travis saw me he smiled, but once he saw Jesse, the smile faded.

I asked, “How are you feeling?”

Travis grinned, still eyeing Jesse, but said, “Okay, I guess; where is everyone else?”

“Your mother was kicked out of the hospital for yelling, because she was worried about you. And my parents left for a meeting at work they couldn’t miss.” I explained to him.

“No I understand,” he retorted, as he sighed heavily, taking his gaze of Jesse.

I looked back at Jesse. I know he wanted to apologize, but deep down, he thought it wouldn’t help anything.

“Man, I’m really sorry for all this,” Jesse apologized, but I couldn’t tell if he was being sarcastic or not.

“What the hell is your problem Jesse? You fuckin’ pushed me down stairs all because you were jealous that I kissed her, when you did the exact same thing? You would push your little brother down stairs because you think you’d get your way?” Travis yelled.

“Hey, you would have done the same thing now wouldn’t you?” Jesse angered.

“That’s beside the point; you are the one that had done it to me, not the other way around.”

“Listen I apologized, what else can I do to make it up to you?”

Travis was pissed. “You aren’t serious are you? The look on your face just proves to me that you didn’t really mean it.”

“Oh really-”

“Yes really and I sick in tired of you taking your anger out on everyone else.”

“Oh would you just shut the hell up you two.” I chimed in. I was sick of the bickering back and fourth. My sister and I do that enough.

“I am sick of you two just arguing with each other and me being the center of it all. I tired of you two making me look like it’s my entire fault. I’m done. I’m officially out of the band… for good.” I shouted, walking out of the room.

“Kay wait,” Jesse hollered at me, grabbing my arm, spinning me around.

“No Jesse,” I sneered, ripping my arm from his grip. “I’m not going to play this little game. I am done. I’ve had it up to here with you two; it’s so infuriating.”

I know the look in his eyes was hurt, but I was seriously angry with the two of them. Why couldn’t we had just lived the life we had before Vegas; the fun times we all shared? Sometimes I wished I never had broken up with Tanner and that’s pretty freaking scary.
